PREPARATION
PREPARATION	Winter provided average rainfall levels which resulted in good soil moisture for vine budburst in early spring. The balance of the growing season provided a slightly below average temperature leading to a desirable long, slow ripening period. A dry summer and harvest resulted in slightly earlier picking Chardonnay with the resultant wine showing good colour with classic regional varietal flavours. A generous style of Chardonnay, combining rich primary fruit characters of peach and melon with hints of butterscotch and French oak.
