KEY INFORMATION
–	I’m 8.4% ABV! I was named after my brewer, Pauwel Kwak, who was very well-known in the Dendermonde district during the 18th century for his dark and heavy ales. He also owned a coaching inn where mail coaches would often stop for a break. In those days, coach drivers were not allowed to leave their vehicles to quench their thirst. Hence, my brewer invented an efficient solution to this problem by offering his famous ale (me) in a special curvaceous glass that could be fixed onto the carriage, allowing the drivers to enjoy a pint. As his best beer, I showcase a rich amber pour that is slightly sweet, generously malty and spiced with hops. I present an excellent balance with the ripe juiciness of grains and a fruity, meringue-like softness within each sip. Today, I am brewed by the Bosteels Brewery, who also produces other iconic and historically-rich Belgian beers.
